Straight answers about our shipped Nerf party box: group size, arrival, returns, weather, lost darts, damage and safety.
- How big a group?
- The kit is built for 8 players, with 10 blasters so there are 2 spares. Add 4 players at checkout for 12.
- Can I add a birthday backdrop?
- Yes — it's an optional upgrade, not part of the base kit. The “Happy Birthday” backdrop is about 6 × 3.5 ft, in blue and orange brick and target artwork, printed on washable fabric with a hanging rope. Tie it to a fence, wall or two trees for the photo spot — and keep it afterwards; it doesn't go back in the box.
- Can I add a tablecloth?
- Yes — it's an optional upgrade, not part of the base kit. The waterproof Dart War tablecloth is about 54 × 108 in — it fits a standard folding table, takes spills and cake without staining, and wipes clean. It's yours to keep, so it doesn't go back in the box either.
- Can I cancel and get a refund?
- Yes. Cancel 14 or more days before your party for a 100% refund — use the cancel link on your confirmation page. Closer than that, email us and we'll help move your date. Full details are in our rental terms.
- What if it rains?
- Weather rescheduling is free. Tell us before the box ships and we'll move your week.
- What if I lose darts?
- No stress — the box carries 1,000 darts. Pick up what you can at the end; lost darts are free.
- What if something breaks?
- Normal wear is free. We only charge replacement cost for gear that is destroyed or not returned, under the rental terms you agree to.
- How does return work?
- Pack everything back in the box, stick on the prepaid UPS return label that's already inside, and drop it at UPS by the return Monday.
- When does it arrive?
- Your box arrives by UPS on the Monday before your party — days early, never the night before. You keep it 7 days and return it the following Monday.
- Can I ship to a different address?
- Yes. Grandparents and friends often pay and ship it straight to the party house.
- Do I need an account?
- No. Checkout is guest-only. You just need an email and phone number for delivery updates.
- What if my date is soon?
- Order at least 5 days before arrival near Richmond and 6 days for the rest of the East Coast. If your date is too soon, the order card shows the earliest date we can make.
- Is it safe?
- Foam darts plus safety glasses on every player, adult referees, and 8 simple house rules. See our safety guide before the party.
- Are the blasters used?
- Yes, it's a rental. Every kit is checked, tested and cleaned between parties.
- Is this affiliated with Hasbro?
- No. Birthday Battle Kit is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Hasbro or Nerf. Nerf is a trademark of Hasbro, Inc.
